Is wine tasting in lake Garda a good idea for a family?

Is wine tasting in lake Garda a good idea for a family?   I planned a holiday to Italy for my family of four to lake garda, a destination I had always hoped to visit in Italy.   My kids are now 17 and 20. To make the trip cost effective I had to think outside the box with flights and accommodation. The most competitive flights to lake Garda where flying into Bergamo, Milan which is located approx. 72 miles southwest of Verona. Image
We have travelled to Italy on numerous occasions and have opted to hire a car on most of these visits. There are Various companies that offer car hire, these include Alamo, Avis, Enterprise Rent-A-Car, Europcar, Firefly and Hertz to name a few.     I have  used price comparison sites such as DoyouItaly, Kayak, Rentalcars.com, Autoeurope and Economybookings to aid my decision. Do they offer shuttle service to or from airport to hire car offices. This will reduce hassle and stress when you arrive.   The question is, is it even worth the hassle and expense of hiring a car, when you could probably catch a train, bus or taxi and therefore avoid the expensive Italian car hire and reduce the hassle of driving in a foreign country....

Do pickpockets target families in Italy?

Do pickpockets target families in Italy?   This was our first trip to Italy and with two young kids aged between five and seven years old, we were all very excited. We had done some research and received advice from friends and family, we booked a camping holiday, which was picked due to its close proximity to Rome. The campsite was ideally suited to young families as it had swimming pools, ice cream parlors, restaurants, kids live entertainment and sports facilities. On our first Italian family adventure, we had hit jackpot with beautiful sunny weather and the kids having a great time making friends with other kids who had vacationed with their families. We enjoyed a glass of wine in the evening whilst the kids loved a gelato from the ice cream parlor.                               During our stay we would have time to visit Rome city at lea...
